Cheers folks, Raoul on behalf of Sectarian 27th of December 2002 New gigs have been added to our agenda. Click on Preaches and find out more about them RP 26th of December 2002 - Sideproject The name of the Misfits/ Danzig side project 'Teenagers from Mars' has changed in to Astro Zombie A.D. Maurice Gijsberts changed the name because of the fact that there already is a Misfits cover band in Germany with the name of Teenagers from Mars. RP 8th of December 2002 - Nu of Nooit Finally a light at the end of the hall!! We've been elected to enter the 'Nu of Nooit' contest. For those who do not know what 'Nu of Nooit' is; It's a competition for rock and metal bands in Limburg. A lot of very interesting bands have entered in the past (Suncaged, Boondoggle, Dead punk Society, El Luxury etc. etc.). If you'd like to have more information on the competition check www.spl.nl. For further details on this gig and other further gigs check out the link 'preaches' on the site. There is also some news on the side project of our vocalist Raoul. It seems that Theo 'The Noizz' (Gangstyle records) was quite interested in the product of 'Teenagers from mars'. The result is that the initiator of the project Maurice Gijsberts sight up with Gangstyle records and the full-length album is due to come out at the end of January of 2003. For more details click yourselves to www.gangstylerecords.com. 14th of october 2002 - Sideproject Our vocalist Raoul will participate in a Misfits/ Danzig side project. This project is called 'Teenagers from Mars' and its initiator is Maurice Gijsberts of the respectable M-town hardcore band Right Direction ($400 Suits, Demon Joker Junior). This cover CD is meant to be a tribute to the Misfits and Danzig, it will contain ten Misfits songs and two Danzig songs. There will be musicians of several M-town bands participating in the project. Raoul, for this matter, will take the vocal parts of the Danzig songs for his account ("Devil's plaything", "Twist of Cain). Want more info on the project? Check www.right-direction.nl. 10th of october 2002 - New artwork More problems keep cumulating for the MCD! "We are probably the slowest band to work on an album" according to Raoul. "We learned a lot the past few months,,….we made a lot of mistakes and we hope to use this experiences for the better in the future". In previous messages we mentioned that the CD was due to come out in October but again time was not at our side. Hell!! We hate this situation but that's the way it is. Furthermore we decided to end our cooperation with our cover designer Andrea Beckers due to some professional differences and we found a new designer to do the job by the name of Yves Dupuits. Check out the artwork he did for his own band El Luxury on www.elluxury.com Cheers guys [19 August 2002] Mini-CD due to come out in September Hi there people, We hope you had your well deserved holidays and inhaled enough energy to bang your heads again. Greetz Morbide [21 April 2002] Mini-CD due to come out in September The Mini-album that was scheduled for April has got some delay. We expect the album to be ready in august to be released in September of this year. The cause of the delay is the details of the recordings we are working on currently. [30 November 2001] Sectarian entering the PIT-studio in January Hey guys, I’m pleased to inform you that the band has planned to enter the recording-studio on the end of January. The studio we have chosen is the PIT-studio in Weert (Northern Limburg). In collaboration with Hans Reinders, know back in the days as the singer of Speedica (R.I.P.), Sectarian will record a Mini-cd/ demo consisting of 3 or 4 songs. We decided to make the recordings in the PIT-studio because of it’s great result with BOONDOGGLE and SUNCAGED (check out www.suncaged.com). Check out www.pitstudio.myweb.nl to find out more about the PIT-studio’s. Greetz RP. [26 November 2001] Sectarian’s career-move sealed in Smiley’s After a long period of searching for a suited line-up and a lot of hard work, Sectarian attended their first performance again. It took place in Rockcafé Smiley’s (Brunssum). After Contradiction/ Crash and Burn/ Pull and 37 Stabwoundz lead the way, Sectarian closed the gate for the first edition of the ‘Out of your mind- festival’. According to the band it was a successful first performance and a successful festival for that matter. Sectarian would like to take this opportunity to thank the previously mentioned bands as well as the organisers (Mike and Dotty) for making the first edition of ‘Out of your mind-festival’ a big success. Thanks! Leaving a turbulent period behind, the band is confident again to look at a brighter future. After the new products like ‘Hopefully no longer´ and ´Fallen one´ more new songs are under construction. Greetz RP.
